Have a seat. Notice I’m asking you to SIT more than STAND these days. Every time I tell you to stand, your enthusiasm kicks in - you jump up and start running around doing everything you think I mean… when I simply said, “STAND.” You obviously think you’ve got more skin in the game than you do. I’m not calling you to put on a cape and save the world. I’m calling you to put on the full armor, stand, and face the enemy so you will have a front row seat to watch the enemy’s defeat.

I asked you to describe what you are seeing three times now, and three times you have described the same thing to Me and stopped at the same point. Have you made note of what you are seeing?

Yes.

You’re laying in your bed with your eyes closed. Where are you taking notes?

On my phone.

Look at your phone. Where are your notes?

You grabbed your phone and laid it next to your head, but you didn’t write anything. When you hear Me speaking, get up and start writing.

Slow down. You’re in self-will.

Stop. Stop what you’re doing. Find a quiet corner to sit with Me.

You’re doing it again. You’re running against - in opposition to - the pace of grace. You’re striving. You’re straining. You’re operating out of self-will. You’ve been laying out your day before Me rather than waiting on Me, and I’ve let you. I’ve been curious how far ahead of Me you’d be willing to run.

You are maturing beautifully and I’m so incredibly proud of you! When you were immature and unaware of your position in our Kingdom and the enemy would shake you, you ran out to the world anxiously grasping at people to hear about your troubles and comfort your wildly beating heart. You relied on their words to comfort and sustain you and you found those words always fell short.

You came all this way to be in the presence of a more demonstrative form of worship in the company of those who you assume carry My Spirit with more power. You think just because they shout louder, sing with passion, or cry harder than you that they know something you don’t know?

You’d better WAKE UP ‘cause you and I are entering into a new season of RADICAL obedience. That means you keep your soul out of our business. If you get your mind, will, OR emotions wrapped up in where I’m taking you, it will take you off course.

You’re going to feel a lot of things. Pay attention like you would the lights on the dashboard in your car. Those lights are a sign that the powers of darkness are at work. Don’t let those lights cause fear - they are just a caution to keep you out of trouble.

Close your eyes. Now imagine yourself saying your name. Baby, THAT is what I sound like when I speak TO YOU. You’ve been telling people this for years now and it’s true. Then, all of the sudden, I start talking to you in letter form and you wanna dramatize it by having your friend from church “play the role” of God.

Just like a Hollywood director, you typecast your friend because of his gentle, kind, soothing, deep voice. Take a minute to consider why this is what you wish I sound like.
