Take Your Time
Little One,
You and these timelines.
You’re concerned about the timelines of getting these books out to pastors and principals. Here’s your timeline: You are to finish distributing the books by the last day of the school year.
What about the spring break walk around your city challenge?
What if I told you the promo videos and any efforts towards preparing that challenge was for one person who would walk around one city affecting one city for the Kingdom? Is that worth the effort?
If You ask me to do something, the outcome is obviously ALWAYS going to be worth the effort on my part.
Yes, but what if you formed an expectation that people all over the city would turn out to pray over spring break?
Honestly, I feel like I have the opposite of a big expectation. I have no social media. Every time I consider sharing with the people in my life I hear, “In his own home, a prophet is without honor.”
Are you a prophet, Little One?
I don’t think so but, as Your child, the spirit of prophecy lives in me. I assume it is You causing that pause in my spirit. I don’t feel to ask any of my friends or family to share the spring break challenge on their social media or promote the book. I assume very few will get the message there’s even a call to do it.
I asked You if I should mention it to the pastors and You said no.
That’s because spring break will be far past when many of them get their copy of the book.
What do you mean? Aren’t I supposed to get it out in March?
Did I tell you to deliver them all in March?
You said, “Not yet,” and then You told me the first of March, starting with Beavercreek pastors, then Xenia pastors, then Christian school principals.
Did I give you a timeline?
I guess I assumed You meant as soon as I could?
I told you that I will never rob from one area to provide in another. You told your client today that you might move clients to Saturday to free up weekdays to deliver books. That would be robbing from your clients to do what I’m calling you to do.
You are feeling urgency. Is that how I lead?
No.
Little One, if you go to visit with a pastor and I have you share your testimony and open the opportunity to speak with others on staff at a church, but you had your heart set on delivering 10 books that day in the 4 hours you had available, will you be fully present with those people while you visit?
No. I’d probably feel anxious and worry that I would get behind because I have limited time.
Create order to your list. The 38 pastors in Beavercreek only to begin with. Put them in order. As you have space in your calendar when delivering books would not take from anything else, visit the next one on your list. When that list is complete, prepare the next.
Worry is rooted in fear.
Urgency is rooted in fear and control.
Walk - don’t run - when I give you assignments.
This assignment will not take from your family, your ministry assignments, your other commitments, or your clients.
This will be easy but, more than that, it will be fun! When you move with Me, one book at a time, you will have the opportunity to share our mission with clarity and peace that will be felt… by you and by each person you encounter.
Take a deep breath.
Kinda hard in this dust mask!
Speaking of that - you’re at work. Finish wiping the walls down from that drywall dust so you can take that dusty mask and goggles off. You look like a fighter pilot…
By the way, pray for the fighter pilots. They are always in the air whether at war or at peace preparing to defend your country. They need My hand of protection every day.
LOVE you, Little One.
Daddy
