Chicken or the Egg
Baby Girl,
What came first: the chicken or the egg?
The egg?
You have gone back and forth and erased your answer and changed it twice. Why?
Because when I wrote the answer, You didn't tell me I was correct so I assumed I had gotten it wrong.
You landed on the egg. Is that your final answer?
This feels like a trick question.
I don't ask questions to trick you, and you shouldn't bother answering questions you don't know the answer to.
What do you mean?
When you are asked a question and you don't know the answer, but you guess, you plant that answer you made up as a seed in your mind.
What happens with seeds?
They grow.
I'll ask you again: What came first, the chicken or the egg?
Well, I wanted to answer the egg because eggs turn into chickens, but in order for the egg to turn into a chicken, a chicken would need to sit on the egg as it incubates. If I stop to think about it, obviously I'd go back to the creation story and it says that you created every living thing, so whether it was a chicken or an egg, You spoke and it was, so I'd say it doesn't matter which one came first.
You just took that question into your natural mind, played with it, reasoned it out, landed on an answer, then made a final assumption based on the Bible which sounds spiritual.
Do you feel confident about your answer?
I feel fairly confident that the answer to this question doesn't matter. Whether the egg or the chicken came first, even if You were to take me back in time and let me experience creation, I don't think it would matter.
Why?
Because now we have chickens and now the answer is the chicken will always come first. An egg will never appear in the natural world without a chicken laying it.
Here's another question to ponder. What comes first: the plant or the seed?
Really? This is starting to seem like a dad joke. You're getting somewhere with this, I'm sure. What is Your point?
What comes first, the plant or the seed?
The seed.
If the seed came first then wouldn't it go to reason that the egg also came first?
This is the most ridiculous conversation You've had with me yet.
Little One, if a red hen lays an egg, what kind of a chicken will it produce?
A red hen.
If a mustard seed is planted, what sort of a plant will grow?
A mustard plant.
Why?
I'm not a scientist but I assume it has to do with DNA?
Do plants have DNA?
What did you just learn about DNA?
I asked Google if plants have DNA. They do. I know humans do. I asked if every living thing has DNA and they do.
"All living things have DNA within their cells. In fact, nearly every cell in a multicellular organism possesses the full set of DNA required for that organism."
What does that mean?
"DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is a molecule that contains the genetic information for an organism's development and function. DNA is passed from one generation to the next."
I created DNA. I created the building blocks of all living organisms from bacteria to plants, to chickens, to people. Every strand of DNA has a role to play.
You have spent the majority of your life behaving as though you believe the building blocks of who you are were faulty. If a red hen is produced because the egg of a red hen holds the DNA needed to produce a red hen, and a mustard tree is produced because the seed of that mustard tree holds the DNA needed to produce a mustard tree, wouldn't it go to reason that if you were created in My image, then you have My DNA?
You talk to anyone who will listen about who they are. What do you tell them?
I tell them, "You ARE a spirit. You are an eternal being created by God and in His eternal nature. You HAVE a soul, mind will and emotions, and you LIVE in a body. Your body is sinful, mortal and all of our bodies will end up returning to the earth they came from."
Your grandma used to call her body the vehicle for her spirit. That's pretty accurate. Your body has NATURAL DNA. DNA in nature can be affected and...
What did you just look up?
“Can human DNA be altered?”
And?
Yes, human genes can be altered using gene editing technology.
Isn't that incredible? I created your body in such a way that you can mold it within reason by what you do with it. Humans spend an incredible amount of time, money, and energy attempting to do just that. You all get so focused on that pursuit that you begin to subconsciously believe you are also able to do the same with who you are. You begin believing that you can be a "good person" based on what you do.
You are born as the seed of Adam. Your DNA from birth is genetically predisposed to sin and death. Through that original sin, sin entered into the DNA of the human spirit. The seed will always produce what it is genetically engineered to produce. A red hen cannot give birth to a golden retriever.
In the natural, a red hen cannot give birth to a golden retriever but natural laws do not apply to a person who is made new in Christ. Essentially, when you are born again, you are given a new nature - you take on My spiritual nature. Who you are changes as drastically as the red hen who becomes a golden retriever.
Here's the dilemma: My kingdom is full of golden retrievers who are bobbing around and clucking like chickens. YOU are a golden retriever pecking at the ground for seed and clucking like a chicken when you agree with the enemy about who you are.
That is the silliest analogy You have ever given me!
I dare you to try to imagine a golden retriever without imagining it clucking like a chicken.
Yesterday, when you were meeting with your ministry partner, what did she show you?
Our new Google drive with all of our documents organized and looking SO professional! Our new email accounts that are linked to the website. When I see the website she created, the book she formatted and all of the incredible things she has organized and set up I just feel so incredibly...
I think it's funny how my computer offers me options of words I might be thinking of using next. When I said, "I feel so incredibly..." my computer filled in the word "lucky." I'm laughing because I was about to type unworthy.
Why would you use the word unworthy?
I am not polished, poised or professional. Everything she creates is perfect. I guess it makes me feel like an imposter. It makes me look better than I really am.
Whose words are written in that book?
Don't do that. You want to say Mine. Those words were written by My inspiration but who PENNED the words in that book?
I did.
She didn't write those words?
She edited; helped me make it more concise.
Who PENNED these letters?
I did.
Is she rewriting them?
No.
What is she doing?
Formatting them with font and highlighting certain phrases.
Is she choosing what to highlight?
No.
How is she deciding what to emphasize?
I underline based on how I hear You say it.
Is this about you, Little One? This ministry - is it about you?
- LONG PAUSE -
This ministry is a seed that I planted in the soil of your heart decades ago. When a baby is planted in the womb of a mother, that baby is not an extension of the mother, but it carries the mothers DNA.
You Googled that?
Yes, a baby carries the mother and the father's DNA. A friend of yours read one of these letters and laughed saying, "I can hear your voice when God speaks to you in your letters."
Isn't that beautiful?
When a ministry is birthed from the heart of one of My children, both their DNA and Mine lives at the heart of that ministry.
When My angel told Mary she would be carrying the Son of God who would save the world, did she look at herself and consider herself unworthy?
She asked how it could be since she was a virgin.
Yes, she did; but, before I said another word, she corrected her own question with a resolute answer, "I am a maidservant of the LORD. Let it be to me according to Your word."
As she was carrying Jesus in her womb, was she actively working to create Him?
Was she deciding on His hair color and eye color and how tall He would be?
No.
No. She was simply living her life and allowing Me to work a miracle IN her so that a miracle could come THROUGH her.
As Jesus was growing and maturing, was she telling Him how to be God here on earth?
I don't know how she parented Him. I don't know if she told Him He was the Son of God. I don't know if she told Him about the angel and that He needed to behave. I can't imagine He was perfect as a kid? I imagine she had to teach Him right from wrong just as she had to teach Him how to walk and eat and potty train.
She was His mother. She did what she knew how to do to raise Him and I did the rest. That's what I want from you. Stop considering whether or not you are worthy of the calling on your life. Stop worrying about if people are making "you" look better than you really are. This isn't about you.
When I gave Moses what to say, he stuttered as he told his brother what I said but his brother didn't stutter when he demanded that Pharoah let My people go. Moses wasn't standing behind Aaron hanging his head because he needed Aaron's help. He held his head higher and spoke My heart with more boldness and confidence BECAUSE he had Aaron by his side.
I'm not sending you into the wilderness alone. Delight in the company I'm sending with you and go forth with confidence.
Clucking like a hen isn't a good look on a golden retriever.
Back to bed, Little One.
LOVE you,
Daddy
