God is always speaking.
Do you hear Him?
Our Heavenly Father faithfully speaks to me so tenderly through inward conversations that are journaled as letters. Read how it all started.
These letters are not intended for me alone but are to be shared with the body of Christ.
As you read them, I pray you will learn to recognize how God is speaking to you about your life throughout your day.
My Yoke
You are all born with a yoke on you; it is the yoke of sin. It is a heavy burden and you were not created to pull this life on your own but, with the fall of Adam and the introduction of sin into humanity, a single yoke is what you are born into.
When I adopt you into the Kingdom of God, you are offered the opportunity to take off that yoke and put on My yoke which was created and intended for us to partner together.
Funeral Planning
Consider this your second-grade daddy-daughter conference. Spiritually and morally, you’re understanding My ways. You’re obedient in so many areas and, as you continue to mature spiritually, you will naturally mature in how you care for your body. You won’t care for your body as a second-grader forever but, if you’re bent on disobedience in this area that is not a matter of Heaven and hell, I’ll let you be disobedient and you will live with the consequences.
Crazy Faith
Jesus and I often shake our heads at the “pretty man” artists have grown to portray Him as over the years. When actors are chosen to “play the part,” they choose much better looking men as though portraying Him as entirely average would be sacrilegious. Honestly, portraying Him as physically attractive is sacrilegious and unbiblical.
What I Ask
Teach people to become sensitive to how I lead in THEIR lives. I will ask things of them, just as I have asked things of you. I have asked you to let go of many things because they were distracting you. Those things which are a distraction to you might not be a source of distraction to someone else.
Offense
My sword has never been a weapon of violence. Remember when Peter drew his sword in the garden and chopped off the soldier’s ear? Jesus rebuked him saying, “All who draw the sword will die by the sword.”
Jesus is called the Prince of Peace. He came to bring peace between man and God, not man and man.
People who reject God, as demonstrated by Jesus Christ being the only Way of salvation, find themselves always at war with God. People who come to Jesus in repentance find peace with God through Him.
Muddling Wisdom
You’re doing it again. You are gathering so much data that the idea of organizing it is overwhelming you.
Do you remember how I had you delete 7,000 pictures from your phone - four year’s worth of pictures - in one night? Remember how anxious you felt when I asked you to do it, the fit your mind threw as you did, and the peace you felt when it was over?
Looking back, do you regret it?
Putting Demands on God
For a few weeks now you’ve been asking Me to talk to you about what you keep hearing pastors say: that you should put a demand on your faith; put a demand on God or command God to act.
There’s a good reason why you feel such a strong pushback in your spirit when you hear this: you are not so arrogant that you would dare to put a demand on Me or command Me to do anything.
